How long does roof rejuvenation take?

What happens before, during and after treatment day, including dry times and how the weather fits in.

The short answer

Usually a single visit. The treatment is typically dry to the touch in about 30 minutes, ready for foot traffic in about an hour, and fully cured within 1 to 2 hours in warm, dry weather. There’s no tear-off and no dumpster, and you don’t need to leave home.

Before treatment day

Everything starts with a free assessment. We check your shingles up close, tell you whether the roof qualifies, and give you a written estimate. If you decide to go ahead, we schedule the treatment around the forecast and your calendar.

On treatment day

There’s no tear-off noise, no debris and no dumpster in the driveway. Here’s how the day goes:

  • We protect landscaping and surfaces around the house as needed.
  • We make sure the roof is clean and dry.
  • We spray the treatment evenly across the shingles with professional equipment.
  • You can stay home. We just ask that people and pets stay clear of the work area until it’s dry.

Dry and cure times

The treatment is typically dry to the touch in about 30 minutes, ready for foot traffic in about an hour, and fully cured within 1 to 2 hours in warm, dry weather. It’s water-based with no odor, so there’s no lingering smell around the house.

Weather and monsoon season

We apply the treatment when the roof is dry and no rain is expected shortly afterward. Phoenix’s monsoon season runs June 15 to September 30, and during those months we watch the forecast closely and will reschedule rather than risk a poor application.

How often it’s needed

Rejuvenation is maintenance, like an oil change for your roof. One treatment supports shingle performance for about 5 to 6 years, and a repeat treatment can keep extending your roof’s life as long as it still qualifies. Every treatment comes with a ShingleGuard 5-year warranty.
